This has to make the blog!

I decided to pick E-man up early today. A little surprise to him. So, after he came to the office, his teacher came with him. She said he had something to tell me. He said "I've been good." Me knowing him is looking at him funny, so I asked "well, what did you just do?"  He didn't want to tell me. So, the teacher said, on the way out of class to come to the office to me, he kissed a girl! My little guy, who is only in 1st grade, kissed a girl. I did the right thing and explained that he shouldn't be doing that at school and that it is inappropriate behavior. All that mumbo jumbo, however, I am in hysterics about it! He keeps telling me he doesn't like any of the girls, but 1. I did get a name out of him, but I won't tell it here. Crazy kid. Hopefully there however is no more kissing at school and no more kisses for quite awhile!

On another note, he read a chapter of Junie B Jones to his class today. He is such a good reader and being the genius I think he is, he's way above all others. But, like I said, I am his number one fan and since he's my kid, he's a genius. :o)

hand sanitizer vs hand washing in schools

Today was Brooklynn's first day. And let me just say first, she had a great day and is all smiles. The morning was quite and very strange without her here.

So, onto my rant. I asked her if she used the potty at school and she said yes, the teacher took the class 3 times. I asked if she washed her hands. Her reply was no! I said, why, and she said the teacher squirted something in her hands instead. This would probably I am assuming be hand sanitizer. This doesn't fly for me. Not in anyway!  Does hand sanitizer instantly remove the pee, no!

Yes, I am fine if hand sanitizer is used before eating if they have been playing. But in my opinion it is not a substitute for washing hands, especially after playing outside or using the bathroom. Too many people feel like it is a substitute and it isn't. It might kill germ but it doesn't get rid of whatever it is on your hands.

Needless to say, I was upset when she told me this. I of coarse kept my anger to myself and not tell Brooke. I  just explained that tomorrow, to tell her teacher "No thanks, I would like to wash my hands." We will see how that goes. If not, I will tell the teacher that i prefer after using the bathroom that my child wash her hands. And since i am paying her tuition, hopefully what i prefer is the method they choose for my child. We will see.

I want her to have a great year there and make lots of friends and get the socialization she needs. So, hopefully things will look up!

Dumpling's Open House/ My son tried to bribe me!

Last night was open house for Dumpling. Seriously, she seems just too big for a 3 year old class! The type on conversations we have with her, well they aren't normal 3 year old conversations. This girl really is 3 going on 13.

So, we go in and at first we end up with the 2 year olds. I didn't realize we had to wait until the 3's came in. At first I was staring at these kids thinking....."MY KID IS A FREAKING GIANT AND THESE KIDS ARE ALL SO LITTLE LOOKING!"  Then i was glad to learn they were 2. So, then Dumpling's class came  in. She is a bit taller then them, but she looks about right. I have heard great things about her teacher she got, though first impression to me, she was a bit scatter brained...however it was hectic with two different classes in one very tiny room.  I am sure it will be a wonderful.

So, onto E-Man trying to bribe me. He gets in the car yesterday and had a bad day at school! Geez...day 4 and we get a note. ***shakes head back and forth***.  Anyway, here is the conversation:

E: "Mommy, please don't tell daddy."
M: "Tell Daddy what?"
E: "I will give you whatever you want, if you just don't tell Daddy"
Let me say first, I swear the hubby is not some mean man who is going to lock him in a dungeon for acting up. Really....I promise!
M: "What are you going to give me?" Yes, I was amused by this.
E: " Any toy in my room you want. Even my new star war toys. Whatever you want, you can have it."
M: "Yeah, well I don't want those. You got anything else?"
E: "Anything Mommy, anything in there you can have, just don't tell daddy!"
M: "We'll see"

LMAO! Seriously....he tried to buy me. Too bad i didn't agree and thank goodness he doesn't have a computer with internet access to this very blog or he might  be mad!

Happy Friday!

School has begun

Yesterday was Ethan's first day back to school! So far, so good. He was very happy to go and happy upon picking him up.

He wore his new star wars shirt to school, and it got him a new best friend! However, Ethan couldn't remember his name. I told him not to forget to ask today. And there was homework on the first day! Yikes.....they aren't playing in 1st grade.

This week however is only spelling homework. He has 5 spelling words a week. Starting next week he will also have math homework daily, and a reading textbook to bring home nightly to read two stories out of. Thank goodness i am not babysitting this year!

It does feel awfully weird not having Ethan here, even though we have done school before. You get so used to them being here! Next Monday is going to be really strange when Brooklynn starts her morning preschool.

Happy Tuesday!!!

Weekly Happenings

13 days until its time for school and to start getting back up early! Blah...not looking forward to that, kinda looking forward to school. However, the summer of stress now isn't too bad. Its like 2 months later, we finally fell into a groove of sleeping in, getting along and so on.

Last week was quite the week. Upon picking up Dumpling we went to visit there aunt and uncle for a little bit. E-Man stayed over for a fews days. So it was just Dumpling and I until E-man returned tuesday, with one of his older cousins. Thursday we packed up in the car and headed to a water park. I have to tell ya, Dumpling if she would just not get stiff when floating, would be swimming all over. She feels comfortable in the water. She will hold onto me and gladly float up and start kicking. E-Man stiffens up, though he is somewhat comfortable. He has mastered going under water. He thinks that is just so cool. Though, no opening of eyes yet.

Then Friday, E-Man left for Nana and Papa's for his weekend. He went fishing! Pictures will be below. And he returned home with the wii game he has been dieing to get his hands on. Star Wars the Force Unleashed. I am starting to get Star Wars figured out.

This weekend his his birthday party! Whoooo! Its going to be at chuck e cheese and its going to be FUN!

I caught a FISH!

This one was the biggest and he needed a net!

the end result! 8 fish total. The biggest was caught by Ethan!

Have a great week!

Friday, July 23, 2010

One of the kids older cousins came for a visit for a few days. So, he asked me a question and wondered what your answers would be.

If you had the choice would you, take a million dollars, go to college, or get a job?

So, what would it be?

Hmmm....great question. All have benefits right? How about I take the million, enjoy it then maybe pay outright for college and then get a job, maybe?

So, what would you do?

Weekly Happenings

Wow, this was a fast week. It was a great week though. Heck, i don't really remember what we did, it went so fast. Either way, the weekend was nice. It was just E-man and us. Dumpling spent the weekend with Nana and Papa.

Friday night E-man and I had a date since Hubby gets off late on Fridays. We went to mexican. The kid danced to the spanish music and laughed. It was quite entertaining. After stuffing our faces with delicious food, he wanted to go to the bookstore. So, we headed there and he got a new Star Wars book. That kid reads great, i am telling ya. I am so impressed. To look at how much he has grown in a year and just how smart he is. Its crazy.

Yesterday, hubby was here. I left to go surprise Dumpling at Babyland with my parents. She had a blast and was so excited that not only did she get to see babies born out of cabbage patches, that mommy was there too. The she left with Nana and Papa and i came home to the boys playing nothing else, but Lego Star Wars on the Wii. **eyes rolling**.

So, this morning after daddy left for work, E-man and I have been bums. Him watching cartoons/lego stars wars (AGAIN) and me enjoying a book and some coffee. After picking up Dumpling, we are going to head to visit my nephew. I haven't seen his shinning face in awhile. E-man actually wants to see him too, SHOCKER! He has had nothing to do with either new nephew. He secretly likes them, but shhhh, don't tell anyone!

Happy Weekend to all!

Where did the Wolfe's go????

Still here, still blogging, just been concentrating on my book blog and kinda slacked here. However, i am having the luck i wanted. Publishers are contacting me for reviews....FREE BOOKS!  I reviewed one last week for an upcoming author and that was just cool!

What have we been doing? TRYING TO STAY COOL! We haven't done as much fun stuff this summer as i had hoped. We can't even go outside for 5 minutes during the day. Then by the time we can in the evening, the bugs are out ready to eat us. Blah! So, we have been inside. E-man has made quite the progress on his wii games! There are some days, there isn't much else he does.  We do take the time to do some school work. Which is rounding the corner! YAY! August 9th he will start 1st grade. We are also preparing for his birthday party. What is the theme? None other then STARWARS! I am lost. No clue. Anyone know if there might be a star wars for dummies book out there?  I just don't get it.

I took some great pictures the other day. I gotta get them on here. The kids faces are priceless. I just switched computers, so i don't have all my stuff over here yet. My laptop was getting ready to say its final fair well. So now  i am onto my hubbys old laptop.

So yup, we are still here. This week we have an extra kiddo. I thought it would be nice for E-man to have a friend for a few days. So, now i have two star war nerds. And Dumpling is busy with baby dolls. She currently has several children. One baby is headed to the doctors right now and i was just scolded for leaving the bottle in the one i am babysitting's mouth for too long. Oy! Dumpling starts school Aug 16. She will go Mon-Wed from 8:00am-11:30am. I am looking forward to two mornings to myself and one morning with just the hubby.

That's all for now.....will post some pics soon. I am off to babysitting duty. Baby Starsong needs a diaper changing :o)

Its Friday and it means its time for some letters. Click the picture above to visit Julie over at Foursons and link up your letters!

-------------------
Dear Kids,
Are you bipolar? For 3 days i wanted to literally run away! I wanted to leave this house screaming and never look back. You mouthed off, you fought with me and each other. You had crazy temper tantrums. You were just evil little creatures. Then for 2 days, you were completely different. You played with one another like you had not seen one another in  years. You laughed, you shared, you compromised, you listened. It was amazing and i loved it. I could actually have fun with you. And my stress level went way down and being a stay at home mama was fun again. TODAY.....we seem to be in the middle. We have been up an hour with one small fight, one compromise, one small tantrum that you calmed down quickly too. Maybe i just need more coffee! Either way.........39 days until school for E-man and add 7 to that for Dumpling to start her 3 year morning program 3 days. This mama is ready!

love,
mama

Dear BFF girls friends!

Kids say the darndest things

Yesterday i guess we explained the anatomy of eating to Dumpling. She asked where her food went.

  • you eat it
  • it goes down your throat to your belly
  • through your intestines
  • out in your poop
Seemed liked the easiest way to describe it!

So after dinner last night she goes and uses the potty. She runs out saying

"I pooped the food i eat, OUT!"

:o)

E-Man Pool Jump

Here is my big boy jumping into the pool all by himself. Don't worry....its only 7 seconds. It won't take up too much of your time :o)

Weekly Happenings

I am going to aim for every weekend to post our weekly happenings. Summer has been keeping me busy and blogging a little less.

So this week probably in the beginning wasn’t the most exciting week for the kids.  It was a week where really not much was planned. I did however have the babysitter come over Tuesday for a few hours while i got out! That was nice and it was needed. This summer has been a little more difficult then i had expected. I guess with the ages of the kids 3 and almost 6, they are at prime wanting to kill each other stage. LOL.  Which means, do i want to grocery shop with these two that can’t stop bickering….HECK NO!

Thursday we packed up and headed down to Augusta to visit with Grammy and Nana for a bit. This is when the fun started! Thursday evening we went swimming. Sadly enough, this is really the kids first time in a swimming pool minus a few occasions here and there. They loved it though. E-Man mastered jumping into the pool. Dumpling mastered tiptoeing around the pool by holding onto the edge. Dumpling is going to be a natural swimmer though. Which is good.

Friday we hung around Grammy’s house and just vegged out. It was nice! And i think that's about all we did Saturday too!

Over all, it was a great weekend. Now we have PJ the Chihuahua visiting for the next week or two.

Have a great week!

farmville

i had a good laugh at walmart today. i could not believe my eyes when i saw a gift card for the popular facebook game farmville! i used to play it and every now and then join a differant facebook game. however...i didnt know people actually used their real money for such games.

Oh well...it was quite a laugh to be had and i suppose any farmville addicts out there would love to get one of those stuffed into their christmas stockings!

Letters of Intent---to the flies (this one is gross)

Go link of with Julie at Foursons and add your Letters of Intent!
Dear Flies,
You are pests, really! Only now, besides the normal amount of money i spend on bug control, you just cost me $85. You pests ask how? Apparently one of you landed on one of my kitties face at some point. You left your larva on her face. Your nasty larva then climbed into my kitty either through her nose or her mouth. THEN your larva crawled through my kitties body until it found somewhere it liked according to the vet. Then what did you larva do TURN INTO A WORM THAT WAS EATING MY CAR FROM THE INSIDE OUT!!!!!!!! Disgusting, absolutly disgusting. My car has a hole in the side of her body the size of a silver dollar! Its got pus and blood and just gross. My cat is going into a depression because she has to wear a cone on her head. She can’t figure out how to sleep with it. She cries all day. Thanks flies! Now everytime i kill you pesky things i won’t feel bad!
from,
one mad kitty mama!

Video from E-Man’s graduation

(if video does not work, here is the youtube link CLICK HERE )

For those who don’t personally know my son, he has on a plaid shirt. He is between the boy with the blue plaid shirt and the boy with the blue stripped shirt. My son’s plaid has orange in it. It might also help to say he is the cutest boy there.   :o)
I wish we could have zoomed in more (need a new camera!). His face singing was hilarious! It was so serious. He would be singing all seriously and then yawn! It was great.
Enjoy!

Its Been an Awesome week!

Really, the week was great. No complaints that i can come up with.  The kids were great for the most part. They played well, and it seems like we are finally getting into our groove for the summer. The kids going to vacation bible school in the evening was wonderful too. It was great for the kids to go play for 2 hours and me and hubby were left home for 2 hours together. Which usually involved quite TV watching or reading.

Friday my mom decided to get the kids for the whole weekend! So i got friday night to myself while hubby had to close at work. We had all day saturday together and here Sunday morning he left for work and i get a quite sunday morning to myself.  I feel so spoiled by this break!

The summer is going great! I hope it just keeps on!

Silly Bandz

Silly bands....i thought we might avoid those with Dumpling being only 3 and at home. I figured E-man had no interest. Then...there was vacation bible school. Now we own two silly bandz. Two...thats it. And who do they belong too? E-Man. And now i have two kids who want SILLY BANDZ!!! So...the craze has hit us. I see them in our future. Really, they are cute and a neat concept. Luckily not to expensive. Now I am off to find someone with at least one pack in stock. :o)

VBS and Hubby’s Bday

So this week is vacation bible study week. This is something we have never really done. E-Man went one year with aunt and cousins.  So, this year i decided it might be fun for them to do. I knew E-Man of coarse would handle being dropped off well. And he did. This was Dumplings first time being in a setting like this. And she did amazingly well. If she didn’t want to stay, i wouldn’t have forced it. I would have let her come home. She took right to the teacher there which was great. She stayed. Upon pick up the kids came running out. Dumpling chattered her little head off about all the fun stuff they did and can’t wait to go back. E-Man was a bit grumpy because it was so late (7pm-9pm). This morning though i can report that he is ready to go back too.

So, YAY! The kids had a blast and i am glad. And hey, i got two hours to myself last night with no one else around. And that doesn’t happen to often!!!  Tonight it will be the hubby and I.

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband! I love you and love that i am spending my life with you! Hope your next 30 years are filled with happiness, laughter, and relaxation.

Letters of Intent

Foursons

Its Friday and its letter time. its been quite a few weeks since i have done this. Life took over and the blog got connected. Maybe it should have texted me to remind me to blog, lol.

................................................

Dear kindergarten teachers of E-Man's,

You did an awesome job with my son this year. There were times as a parent i doubted certain discipline actions.  There were times i thought, holy cow, this is a lot of work for my child. Especially the week they sent home the ten sight words for the number word (one, two....) and an additional 4 sight words. However, it was more overwhelming for me, then it ever was for E-man.  He went through kindergarten like a rocket. He mastered everything. He is well on his way to 1st grade.  Actually, only 65 more days, lol! I hope that E-man gets similar teachers next year, who understand him and have the patience in him that he needs.

Thanks,
E-mans mom

..........................................................

Dear Dumpling,

my facebook status's lacked of anything about you these last few weeks. Its so easy sometimes to forget your accomplishments, simply because you have an older brother and he has done most of them. I however want to say, i was very impressed with you the other day. You are a tinker like Tinkerbell. You had a broken crown that just wasn't fixable. We had tried super glue. the way it was made, it just didn't work. Yes, we kept putting off any other ways to fix it. Finally, you picked up that crown and you used a rubber band to fix it and you plopped it on your head. You smiled so big and you were so proud. Yes, you are smart. You just don't get to hear it as much.

love,
your mommy

and finally....

.............................................

Dear Kids,
STOP FIGHTING!!! ITS GETTING OLD NOW!

love,
your mommy who is really trying to keep her patience!

update

Wow, has it been awhile! Life just sweeps you away sometime. I have several big things i should blog separately about...but probably won't!

So....one thing was the hubby and i took off on our own vacation. And it was so nice. We rented a cabin in the mountains and had basically 4 days all to ourselves. It was so nice. We visited a wax museum and did some shopping. We went for our 6 year wedding anniversary. That's just crazy...6 years. This August will be 9 years from our first date. It sometimes feels like i have known my hubby forever, but times where i think WOW...it doesn't feel that way. Happy Anniversary to us and i am so happy to have spent these years with him. There is no one else i would want to be with.

And, next, my son graduated kindergarten. It was so cute. He got a diploma and everything. Too bad he can't go get a job! LOL. His teacher had a small party after graduation where they showed a slide show and we had homemade ice cream. Next is first grade! Wow...i can't believe it. And even worse, my baby girl starts a 3 year old morning preschool next year. I told her i was going to cry when i dropped her off. Her response, "mommy i am going to cry to, i will miss you!" My babies are growing up.

So, now its time to entertain these kids for the summer. I am trying to get a lot of things scheduled, so hopefully i will still have my sanity by August 9th!

growing up

My handsome little guy is about to be done with kindergarten! I don't even remember the year. It flew by! Where did the time go? I am about to have a 1st grader. Wasn't he just in my arms as a baby, then we were expecting little sis. Geez! When did he get so big?!

Next year, Dumpling starts 3 mornings a week in preschool. Wow....

11 years wise

So, i realized the other day, wow has my life changed! It was like a big hit me moment. As i was taking the babysitter home Saturday evening after hubby's and I's date, she was talking about how she couldn't wait to grow up. How she couldn't wait to be older. Then i felt like such the old lady, i said "you think your in a hurry now, but really enjoy this time. The demands of being an adult are nothing like being a teenager." Geez....its like i am wise now. Or at least in my mind.

There are days i would love to go back to being in high school and dealing with those dramas. They do help in getting you ready for life. I guess i never had that bad of drama in school. But, anything i felt then is nothing like now. Even now as a stay at home mom, my problems are generally with kids or the dreaded marital problems. But the stress of life now compared to being 16 really is nothing. The worries on whether or not your best friend is mad at you and starting rumors is nothing compared to bills and the stress of paying a mortgage and having money to buy groceries.

So, 11 years that i have over her. I am 11 years wiser. And while things really were easier at 16, i love my life! :o) However, i do wish i wasn't in such a hurry to grow up sometimes.

Its Monday, What are you reading?

I think i had a pretty good week of reading last week. It wasn't a lot of books, but it was a week of good reading. Be sure to link up with One Persons Journey Through a World Of Books

I read:
What The Lady Wants by Jennifer Crusie. I love her. She is my favorite author and i was so glad that one was good. I have loved everything i read by her, but the two i read before this one, i was shocked that they didn't hit me craving more of her like they usually do. This one was a quick read.

I then read Change of Hearts by Jodi Picoult. There is a review i wrote one entry down from this one. This was my first book by this author. It took me 3 days to read. I loved it though. I have to get used to her writing and take the story in. I would have loved to have hours to dive into this book. But, the kids and hubby weren't feeling well, so i spent a lot of time with them.

I tackled my book from Booksneeze, Embracing Your Second Calling by Dale Bourke.

Right now i am reading and only have about 80 pages left, The Big Bad Wolf Tells All by Donna Kauffman. This is also a new author for me. The story has been very entertaining.  Not paranormal if you read the word wolf and got excited.  It about a columnist who writes a theory about men who are either sheep or wolfs. As in their personalities.  She considers herself a wolf and of coarse, we watch her through the story no longer being a wolf and becoming the sheep she never wanted to come. A classic romance.

So, that was last weeks reads.

I have no idea what i am going to read this week. The new Emily Giffin book Change of Hearts should be arriving this week to my door. And i plan to tackle my book club book Cold Fire by Dean Koontz.

Happy Reading!

(this is also published on Beck's Book Picks. I am in the process of getting all book content and followers to this blog. Come follow me there too!)

Mothers Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day to my mom and hubby's mom, and well to all the moms! Its a day we deserve to all kick our feet up and relax. Which is what i plan to do. I plan to take my book and read all day. I am going to try a new recipe in the crock pot (stuffed peppers, but all chopped up and then put over noodles). Sounds yummy to me...i guess we will find out tonight. Yesterday the kids marched out with the daddy and got me some flowers, a card and then they made some cards. Ethan made those cute tiles at school.

To all the Mama's out there...enjoy a day of hopefully everyone in your life you take care of, shows you how thankful they are. Because really, without mama...would the household really survive? I would like to think not...but thats just me :o)

So, i am thinking of starting a blog just for book reviews and so on. I have created the page...but haven't really done much with it. I have mixed feelings on it. Do i dive into a blog where i review the books i read and like and some i didn't. Will i have time?

I guess my biggest concern is, do my faithful readers who have been reading me for years mind seeing book reviews ever now and then?

I love reading and i love writing about the books i have been reading. I am just skeptical right now. I know i will post the reviews under book reviews here on my main blog.

Check it out for now....http://becksbookpicks.blogspot.com/  If your a current follower and love reading, come on and follow!

Embracing Your Second Calling---Review

I recently joined Booksneeze.com and this was the first book i chose to review for them.  The line on the cover of the book is what drew me into wanting to read this book "Find Passion and Purpose For The Rest of Your Life."

So as i sat down to read this book, i realized it was geared more towards women who are in midlife. Seeing as I am 27 and still  home with two kids ages 3 and 5, i am not quite the reader she was writing towards. Still however, i sat and read the book in the perspective of what i have in the future. With this train of thought, i did in fact learn stuff. I think i learned lessons to remember for the future and things that just might help me through out my life.

One chapter in particular, that i felt like anyone, man or female could really benefit from reading, was Chapter 4--Making Peace With The Past.  The chapter talks about looking at those open wounds you can't put behind you. She uses a friendship of hers from the past that ended. She blamed the friend for it ending. She felt as though she had done no wrong. From making a list that turned out to look just like a list of her whining, she was able to look at each thing she disliked about her friend and things her friend did. She then realized she enabled a lot of these things. In return, she realized that it was just things her friend did, it was her too. And when bringing it up to friends of hers years later, her friend gave her the truth then they felt about it. When at the time the friendship ended, her friends gave her comfort in her hurt instead of how they truly felt.

"If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is part of yourself. What isn't part of ourselves doesn't disturb us." -- Herman Hesse

Overall, i liked the book. It is one for me to defiantly hang on to and read when the kids are grown and on their own. When it is time for me to embrace my second half of life, when the whirlwind of parenting starts to slow down. When i am left figuring out who i am.

(this book came from booksneeze.com. It was free, all i had to do was give my opinion on it)

I have a problem

Ok...i admit it. I have a problem. I need to quite biting these darn nails. I have bitten them down to nothing. And i was already blessed with my Gram's finger nails that are freakishly smaller then everyone elses. So, mine bit down, well they look like nothing.  And my nails are very low.

So, i started thinking, when do i bite my nails the most?

Well, i always have bitten my nails. But never as bad as now. Well, it was almost two years ago that i picked reading back up. I love to read and had put it down with kids because it was hard to do when they were young. We are at a place now, i can read and its ok. But, while reading, i bite at my nails the entire time because i have nothing else to do.

Obviously, i am not going to give up reading, but i need to find something to do instead of chewing on my hands. Maybe gum? I have tried the nasty stuff you can paint on, and it is nasty! I would use it, but i rubs off on everything. So eating a cracker and if your finger touches your lips at all, its just nasty.

So, now i have admitted to my problem, i now need to figure out how to get help!

Its Monday, What are you reading?

So, this is a new meme i am doing. To link up, visit One Persons Journey Through a World of Books.  So, as someone who reads all the time, this is a perfect meme for me. So, what do you do? Well, i tell you what books i read since last monday and what i plan to read this week.

So, onto last week. I finished the 6 book Janet Evanovich and co authored with Charlotte Hughes. It was a great series. It was a quick entertaining read. And i love novels full of comedy and a little love. Last week i think i read the last 3 in the series. I would recommend it to anyone who loves comedy romance.

I also read a quick series that a friend gave me. To start this meme and i am going to tell you that it was a short erotica series! I will try anything. The Books in the series are Pack ChallangeGo Fetch, and Here Kitty Kitty. It was written by Shelly Laurenston. I must say, these books make a cheesy harlequin book look like young adult. The language in these alone was a little hard to get used too. However, i did enjoy the series. It has been awhile since i had picked up anything paranormal. These were about shape shifters, mostly wolves. It was a good series, in honestly.  The books were between 200-300 pages, so they were quick reads. They had a decent plot. And if you are looking for steamy....they were defiently steamy. These books even came with a warning on the back! Good thing...b/c we wouldn't need a teeny bopper picking this up thinking its the next Twilight!

So, whats on the list this week? Something a little less steamy. I plan to get back to some chick lit. I have bought two Jodi Picoult books and have yet to read one. So, i plan to read one of those this week.

Jodi Picoult Change of Heart. I picked this up at the libray for 25 cents!

So, far thats all thats on the list.

I am linking up with this new Mom Blogger.

With this i share events from the week that show i am a mom and post pictures. However, this week i will be picture free!

You know your a mom when you are sitting on the potty having a conversation with your child about what they want for a snack.

You know your a mom when the biggest event to talk about for the week is that you had to ground your 5 year old. And that is all you can talk about.

Hopefully next weeks will be more intresting!
