Monster Trucks and the Potty

As promised i have taken a break from my love affair with my books. LOL. I have been cleaning today. bathrooms, dusting, sweeping, and laundry. I need to mop....but i might save that for tomorrow. Anyway, Ethan had a blast at the Monster truck show. Bad News was one of his favorite. His Grammy said they left early b/c he was getting tired. But, he still had a wonderful time. By the look on his face you can tell he was having a great time! The following day the kids dragged there grammy and nana on a picnic. peanut butter and fluff sandwiches. LOL. Ethan was not ready to come home. But, he did stay home yesterday, sick as i had mentioned before. He was still not his full self today, but i told him to try school and if he needed me, to call. I have not been called yet. I think he is fine today.

Brooklynn has been using the potty some! YAY! I am so proud of her! She of coarse has to be naked all day! What is it with my kids. They only potty train naked! But, atleast she is happy. I have not had to wash diapers in a week! Wow! i was used to every other day!
Alex and i had a great kid free weekend together. We pretty much just stayed home, but we really enjoyed the company. Alex fiddled with the new antenna for the most part, and well i read from my books. :) Well, i am off to take Brooke to the potty and then get some crayons out for her. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Ethan was home sick today. Horse cough and snotty nose. Fun! But, i think he will go back tomorrow.

Oh.........and i can't forget........CONGRATUALTIONS TO KEVIN AND JENNIFER ON THERE 1ST PREGNANCY!!! they are due in May! We are super excited for them.

Twilight Series

I have been sucked into a great saga of books. Twilight is the first. It is 500 pages and i read it in a day in a half. I am bragging a bit b/c i am impressed with myself! LOL. I couldn't belive i could read that much. Anwyay, this series will take over your life. I was a little skeptical at first to start it b/c it is about vampires. And i was thinking about the classic blood sucking and killing people. Nothing like that at all. This is a love series. And it will literally suck you in. I gave it to my SIL yesterday. She ended up not working and finished the book in 3 hours! But, she reads all day so i figured she would read it fast. Even she could not wait for the next one. There are 4 books in the series right now. I started New Moon yesterday after getting home from dropping the kids off. (My kids free weekend!) I am on page 200 right now and this one is almost 600 pages. It is not as good so far as book 1, but i have already been told book3 and 4 are as good as 1 if not better. So....i just have to get through this one. It is still easy to get through even though it is not intense.
Anyway, check out the website and read about the author. TheTwilightSaga.com Stephanie Meyer (sp?) is a 29 yr old stay at home mom to 3 boys who has been writing these books. The movie to the first book comes out November 21 and there are movie trailers up on You tube. If your looking for a good book, then go to your local book store and pick up Twilight. Just give it a try and let me know what you think.

Monster truck pictures are coming soon! Ethan went with his grammy last night!

A miracle occured in the Wolfe House!

Last night, sense we are to cheap to pay for TV, we were outside putting up our new antena. Kids were put to bed and i was getting ready to go inside and read from a new book.

We hear a cat, and i look at Alex and my heart sank. I looked at him and excuse my language, i said " i am going to s*$t my pants if................." and then Tigger walked out of the woods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our cat who will be 9 in november who never left the house and who has been gone a month is alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our huge fat cat is now skin and bones, but she is home and we are so inlove!! Tigger was the lap cat, the one who slept with us all night. And wehave missed that so much. And now, she is here! Lacey our other house cat is not to happy. She was enjoying being head Queen cat. She is acting VERY pissy now. But, that is how she was when Tigger was here.

And the crazy part is, i have been dreaming that she was alive. We said that Alex's grandpa would let us know if she was in heaven and safe. He was obviously letting me know she wasn't. Thank you so much Grandpa!

We kept saying, summer was not the Wolfe/Reeve season and fall was going to be great. And so far, it is!!!!!!!

Video if Ethan singing

This is a cute little video i shot of Ethan singing the song i hear all day now! The volume is not great so i am going to type first what he sings so you can make it out! Turn volume up so you can make sure you hear it :) Oh and this is from my camera phone so it is a little fuzzy.

"3 little monkeys swining in the tree singing Mr. Alligator you can't get me (hand movements) Snapped that monkey out of the tree"
Repeats but with 2 monkeys and then 1 monkey
Last line he says which is so cute is "missed me, missed me, now you gotta kiss me (kisses hands)"

He checked out fine at the doctors. Just a viral infection they think. So he got to stay home and drive me crazy! We did have some fun decorating for fall though today. Putting some pumpkins out and a few halloween decorations. Not to much. We are going to go shopping for a few more at the dollar store soon.

All the new CBS shows air tonight so my lonely butt will be in front of the TV! Have a great night!

Sore swollen throat

This goofy pic is from yesterday at lunch!

My poor baby has his first sore throat. He is having a hard time eating. When we glanced in it today it was bright red, swollen and white spots. Guess he is off to the doctor tomorrow to get some medication. I don't think Ethan has been sick in almost 2 years. Amazing, huh?! He did not get sick once last year. His doctors mentioned it at his check-up. And for being in preschool last year too, that was amazing. I think he is a carrier. Brooklynn gets sick quite a bit.

The weekend has been pretty good. We had lunch with Thomas, Jess, and Jackson yesterday. After that i dropped alex and the kids off at home and had some MUCH NEEDED me time. Alex stays at my parents now to save on gas money and has only been coming home on his days off. We have been doing this a month or so now. It has helped us a lot in the financial department! But, i defiently needed a few hours of me time. After that we went out shopping all of us to get Alex a new Antenna for the TV. He is happy, hopefully.

After much talking, he has decided to stay with the company he is with now. We are giving the house until the end of contract date and after that we are taking it off and staying here. We have come up with a few things we want to do here. We are going to try to modernize our bathroom. That should be pretty cheap. And then set money back to redo the flooring in the house. I want to get this carpet out! So, hopefully once we decide on what we want, we can save enough so in 6 months we can do it. That is exciting though.

Well, i guess i am off to finish watching Ladie and the Tramp with the kiddos. Tomorrow i need to get some pediasure (and i have coupons for it) for him to drink with his throat. That way he can stay healthy. And first thing in the morning, call the doc and get him in. This is when it sucks he is allergic to penicillan. Its time for that nice $50 antibiotic! Ick!

Hope everyone had a great weekend :)

Thoughts on the ones i love

It is always nice to take a few minutes and remember why we love the ones we do. After having a bad day, i decided to sit down and remember why i am so blessed.

1st: I have an amazing son. Ethan brings such joy to my life. He cracks me up all the time for all the funny sayings of a 4 year old. He is getting so independant. He tells me now he doesn't need me to tuck him in. He has his story and says he can do the rest from there. He helps out so much. gets up on the weekend and lets Odie out for me so i can sleep in a few more minutes. He is so smart too. There is so much going on in his little brain. I am so blessed to have him as my son.

2nd: I have a beautiful daughter Brooklynn. While she drives me crazy lately, she has such an emotional attatchment to me. That i cherish it. I love the closness of our relationship. I hope she feels as close to me as i felt to my mother. Brooklynn is a great little talker and we will defiently need an unlimited plan for her. She is very caring and so concerned about others feelings. You can see the love she has for all of us in her eyes and actions.

3rd and defiently not least is my amazing husband. Alex has been the biggest blessing to me since i met him back in 2001. He has changed my life for the better. While i know i could live my life without, i don't want to live my life without him. He was defiently created by God just for me. There are so many qualities in him that others may find weird, but i find perfect for me. I never wanted a typical guy. I love how unique Alex is. he understands me in all my quirky ways and just gets me. He is a wonderful father and i look forward to sharing many more years with him.

Bad start to the week!

Ugh! yesterday i fell when going down the porch stairs and twisted my ankle. it is all swollen and bruised. i have it wrapped up and i am debating about the doctors. Not sure what they can do that i can't do here besides pain medicine!!!!! which would be nice. extra strength tylenol every 6 hours is not doing much! I had planned on getting all my cleaning knocked out today so i could enjoy the rest of the nice cool week ahead outside with the kids. Guess that isn't going to happen! Luckily all clothes are just about folded, since there isn't much else i can do sitting down.

I need to get in contact with me realtor today. She called friday. I am worried she is starting to lose faith in our house. How sad the house has been on the market since May and no one has looked at it! I promise my house is not a dump. Everyone i know loves it. but, the Homer area is really an area someone has to want to live. It is not like gwinnett county or where ever. There are houses in the nieghborhood that have been for sale since i was pregnant and walking with Brooklynn!!! Just goes to show, this is a bad area. However, it really does suck no one has looked at it!!! If somenone would come in i know they would fall in love the way we did.

Oh well, hope this week starts to look up! Of coarse with my luck, someone will want to see it this week when there is no way i can vacuum! ha ha!

What a week!

This week was a good but tiring week. I was defiently happy to have Alex walk through the door thursday night and know he was home for a few days. (don't you love her fluffy butt!) After a few days of having the kids to myself, i get warn out! Ethan had a great week, minus the doctors. He went to walmart with his daddy today and came home with a new Optimus Prime (transformers) toy! And tomorrow he and daddy are heading to the home depot for daddy and son bonding. I guess me and Brooklynn will stay here and do girly things. LOL He loves to wear his bicycle helmet. He wears it everywhere. I think we have shopped before and he wore it the whole time. Goofball!
We had to fill up today at the gas pump. Ugh! The jump is scary. And from what i have heard there are already a ton of gas stations are out of gas. This can't be good. I guess we just need to pray and trust we will all get through this.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Alex is home again tomorrow. After home depot the GA game will be on, so his butt will become firmly planted to the couch with his eyes glued to the TV. I see the irrataion of Ethan coming though, with the millions of questions he asks a day. "Daddy, why did all those men jump on him?" "Daddy, why are there white lines on the field?" This football season will defiently be more intresting with Ethan around!

First time using coupons

Yesterday i loaded the kids up with all my coupons i wanted to use and headed to CVS (after a playdate of coarse). I told myself i was only getting what i had coupons for. I wanted to see how it turned out. Not everything we needed. But from what i have read and been told...you need to stockpile. That way you buy when you want and not when you need to buy. So we walked around CVS. I learned the store. Where they keep things and so on. The commerce CVS is defiently one of the smallest i have been to. Got everything above. Checked out and total was $40 before coupons. After coupons $18.56!!!!!! I saved 23.00! Woo hooo!!! The only thing i messed up on was when buying the razors. CVS had buy 1 get 1 free. I then had a coupn for 2.00 off. I grabbed the wrong one. After using the coupon and paying, i told the cashier...oops i forgot to grab my free one. She said, this one is not buy1 get1. Ugh! i felt like kicking my self! Oh well!

So, now for awhile i am going to treat looking at weekly ads and couponing like a full time job. I will add little updates, such as So far i have saved $x and spent $x! I am going to get alex to make me a spreadsheet in excel. i have a CVS one i downloaded, but need him to make me one for just shopping and so on.

Just wanted to share!

Great week so far!

This has been a good week so far. Alex got the dryer fixed today!! Yay, after 6 months with no dryer i have one again. I will feel so spoiled to be able to do more then one load a day. However, that might mean the pile of clean clothes might stack up. :) But, i am very happy to have it fixed. And since Alex did it himself, it came out really cheap. between the parts we bought we might have spent $50. One part we though we needed but we didn't. We replaced it anyway for now. I redid the hermit crab cage. It had been a year! When i lifted the lid it was starting to stink, so i figured it was time. They are healthy. It is better not to touch there cage much so it can become a natural habitat for them. Since cleaning it they have been playing like crazy. Look where i found one of them this morning. I am not even sure how it got up there. I guess climbing, but i was really surprised to see it there. Ethan of coarse thought it was so cool. Here is one more picture of the crabs b/c i know you love seeing them so much. this was our first crab Carl. He recently molted and moved into this new shell. He has grown a good bit in a year. Ethan still won't hold them. But, i don't blame him. they are a little scary.
I have started on a new page in my life. Coupons! I have a few friends who do it and save so much money. So, i have been chatting with people all day about and asking lots of questions. Hoping to have it down soon and start saving some money. We just don't live in the best place. All we have are Ingles and walmart. Wish we had a publix or kroger. you get better deals there. I really need to figure out the CVS thing. I have read a ton of stuff about only having to pay the tax there and walking away with all your stuff pretty much free!!!
Ethan had his 4 year old check-up yesterday. Poor boy had his finger pricked for blood and 4 shots!! He was not happy. He loved getting picked up from school early but not going to the doctors. And he weighs..................drum roll please....................... 33 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha ha ha ha, he is the tinest little thing! Brooke was 25 at 18 months. She will be past him in weight before long! But, everything looked great. He can hear fine.....even though he does not like to use his ear. :) And he can see fine too. So, over all he checked out great!
Happy Birthday to Ethan and Brooklynn's grammy. it was yesterday but that is ok! We love you. And friday is Nana's birthday!

Our new addition!

Meet the new Fred. He is white and red. Ethan picked out a new beta today. And decided to name him nothing other then Fred. Not Fred 2 or Fred Jr., just Fred. So, that makes it a little easier to remember. LOL. Wish us luck. We had the original Fred for 6-7 months. Not sure of his history before. Ethan's KK brought it to him from someone that no longer wanted him. So, hoping this Fred has a long life.

Enough about the fish, right?! This weekend we have just been lazy. We took Odie for a walk this evening. He did good to begin with, but then got really tired. Poor boy. He took awhile to get relaxed when we got him. He was exhausted! Don't think we will walk him everyday. Maybe a few times a week. Ethan loved walking him. He would run ahead of Odie and wait for him to catch up. I was hoping for a nice rainey weekend. But that didn't happen. I guess i was looking for that excuse to lay around and be lazy. Luckily tomorrow is lazy sunday. Movies all day, PJ's all day, and no house work. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

All Pets, beware of us!

We are not having good luck at all. When we got home tuesday from New York our water was cloudy and it sizzled. We figured it was b/c the water had been sitting in the pipes. It is now thursday night and it has not cleared up. Not thinking today, i cleaned the beta fish, Fred's, bowl. Within a few hours he was dead!!!! Poor Fred :( So, we started to freak out b/c we have had coffee with it, bathing in it, and the cats and dog have been drinking it. I just ran to dollar genreal and got drinking water. Will have to call the water department tomorrow. Someone might need to call pet defacs on us. LOL. We lost a kitty and now the fish. All pets, beware!!!

We're Home! *edit*

For those who might have missed my blogs, we are home! We had a wonderful visit to New York to visit family and Pennsylvania. Alex's grandfather passed away last monday (8/25) so we headed north. We are all deeply sadened by the loss. It has been a tough summer for our family with several loses to the families. We were defiently blessed to have these people in our life. Each was very special.

We have a TON of picture to post. I am going to try to figure out the picassa web album and just upload them all there. There were too many to just choose a few. However, there are several special ones that will make it here to the blog in the next few days.

We are very ready to put our feet up and relax.

Pics are at: http://picasaweb.google.com/Beckaboo3283/TripNorth2008#

And for a few that need to be shared :)
